Mission Statement

The Society is an independent nonprofit organization that identifies and promotes the preservation of historic properties that exhibit well maintained classic architecture or that possess a heritage of a notable architect, builder or resident. The Society also recognizes individuals and families for their distinguished historic contributions to the borough and/or country. The Society encourages historic preservation by providing educational and restoration information to homeowners and organizations, emphasizing the value of preserving Rutherford’s rich history.
